Here are the photos from the walk on Sunday.

I really don't want to like Charlie Brooker but I was amused by his geek reference in the last sentence here:

(My paranoia wasn't that far off, as it happens. According to the book Rendez-Vous: The Psychoanalysis of François Mitterrand, at the height of the Falklands war, Thatcher threatened to nuke Argentina unless President Mitterrand handed over disabling codes for the French-built Exocet missiles which were pounding British ships. If that was true, and had actually happened, you wouldn't be reading the Guardian right now – you'd be fighting a giant scorpion to impress the village elders.)

I wish my life involved more fighting of giant scorpions to impress the village elders or I'd settle for more hard sums.

Me looking mighty in a Roman castle.

You realise that Charlie Brooker is a massive geek who started out writing at PC Zone, right?

He just doesn't like Charlie because all the girls are in love with his big grumpy face.

Actually, I didn't know all the girls were... hard to see why he's not exactly blessed with classic good looks.

I knew he was a geek and I saw him do his thing about computer games on telly a while ago which was sort of funny but I didn't know he was a tech writer. I actually try to avoid his writing mostly.

I'm not a massive fan of his tv writing - too cyncial and unpleasant for me. I did like his game writing - where he was quite Yahtzee like in tearing apart bad computer games.

That bit behind you is mediaeval, not Roman. The Roman bits are the curtain walls,

You are just trying to remove knowledge again. It's a Roman castle with Roman bits and I am standing in it. Apparently you can tell it's Roman because of something involving red lines around the walls.

I probably don't need to mention that I told him which bits were which and he's just misremembering.

Some students are such hard work, aren't they?

So that's what we're calling mighty these days is it? :)

Yes... it looks a lot like "quite fat" but is in fact "mighty" verging on "herculean".

Not "quite fat" at all! Tsk. I was just mildly amused at the almost pointed toe :)

Heh... honestly, you don't know the first thing about being mighty. It's page #1 in the "how to look mighty" posing manual.

I've got the urge to play Fallout now. Looking forward to New Vegas?

I must pick up the Game of the Year edition of Fallout 3 once I've finished with Half-Life 2. Should keep me busy now that term's finished.

Yep, loving it so far. Completed HL2 and Portal and now on to Episode 1. Throwing furniture at zombies never gets old.

The pony looks too much like Bon Jovi to be cute.
